I bought this to hold a 55" TV for our bedroom and out on our back patio. It comes in a fairly compact box. And yes, some assembly is required. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble, but it was a fairly straight forward task. You end up with a sturdy TV stand with a wide wheel base that roles easily across carpet, wood floors, and wood decking.I looked at a lot of these type of stands before I bought this one. I personally like the stands with two vertical post rather than just one. Right or wrong, it gives me the feeling of more stability.I really only expected to use it in our bedroom and our patio, but I'm surprised how much we have used it elsewhere in the house. We've used it in the kitchen, rolled into the family room (so we could watch two games on large screens at the same time), and even rolled it out front across our driveway so we could enjoy a game by the fire pit (this one needed an extension cord also).We've only had it about a month, but we are very happy with it and feel it was well worth the cost. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a mobile TV stand.
