The black version of this is actually a dark gray/charcoal, which for those intending to buy this to match black furniture, it won’t work.Assembly was quite time-consuming, and there is one step where one has to align three pieces to a sideboard, which is hard to do and caused a dowel to break (unit did not come with spare parts). This same step should also be broken up into two, because a wooden beam should be connected before the side panel, but from the instructions this isn’t clear there is an order of what to connect first.There are also some cam locks that are in narrow spaces, so they can’t be locked with an average screwdriver as the screwdriver has no room. You’d need a screwdriver bit, which the booklet doesn’t tell you.The only good thing I can say about this tv stand, is that it is nice to look at. But, OMG!, can they make assembly instructions more confusing and difficult? While moving into my place my brother asked how he could help. I asked him to put this stand together. An hour later there were 4 of us trying to do it. It literally took 4 of us to finish 3 hours later. If you don't have time and several people to help, DO NOT get this tv stand.I couldn't even give it 1 star for assembly.Nice Entertainment center, easy to put together but much easier with two people.Great for the priceI had to buy risers for my TV. When I put my TV on the stand it sat too low.Good value for the money. TV fits.Had scratches on top. But it took my husband a while to get it together.It’s a really nice stand I just wasn’t expecting it to be so short so I am highly disappointed that I wasted my money on something I’m not keeping.It was somewhat difficult to put together. Difficult as in tedious for the many pieces but once all the pieces and steps were in place, it came together. I wish there was more directional signage on the pieces so you wouldn’t spend time putting them in backwards. I also wish there was a back to it to hide visibility and access to the wires. Overall, it looks great.
