I installed this 4 years ago and it's held true through 90+mph winds in Iowa getting channels from 2 Metro areas despite being pointed toward only 1. I would definitely recommend this as it picks up so many stations (CBS, FOX, ABC, NBC, PBS, etc) along with a bunch of random ones (think excess cable stations).Awesome antenna. I have it aimed East toward Mobile, Al. in front of my house Instead of pointing it North towards the local transmitters that are 18-24 miles away and even they come in Great. It does well for VHF and UHF channels. I live in Gulfport Ms. and I pick up 13 channels fatefully during the day and every night after 8pm I pick up 30 to 45 channels after scanning it again from channels in Mobile Alabama/Pensacola, Fl. ranging from 70-90 miles away such as: wear3, wkrg5, wala10, wpmi 15, wmpv21, whbr33, wfgx35, weiq42, wjtc44, wfna55. Eventhough it is not aiming in New Orleans direction it even picked up WWL 4, wvue8, wgno26, WUPL 54, and Hattiesburg whlt22. It's well worth the money. I Will get another of these antennas in the backyard to aim southwest toward New Orleans, La. soon. As of 7/27/17, I have now scanned 52 channels.UPDATE 10/6/2017: Got a second one to Put in the backyard Aiming towards New Orleans which is west of my house. It picks up the locals despite not aiming it north where the local channel transmitters are at. Wvue8, wgno26 is 63 miles away & wwl 4 is 68 Miles and I get those 3 with clarity without a preamp but they go in and out between 11am-5pm. Others like wupl54, wdsu6, whno20, wnol38 also comes in sometimes when I rescan it at night . Despite aiming it towards New Orleans, Mobile/Pensacola channels come in also such as wkrg5, wear3, wmpv21, wala10/vhf9-19-18: 41 channels aimed southwest toward New Orleans, 31 channels aimed toward Mobile. Channels stay in day, evening, and night.I have tried many antennas. The one ive been using for couple yrs now-esky 997- got beat up pretty bad in recent hail storms. Ive put it back together a couple times but its HUGE and hard for me- 60 year old woman to handle. Also it was a bitch to put together in the first place. So i decided to try clear stream which had raving reviews. I have to say i was amazed it only had like two parts to screw in and it was ready to connect to line. I did purchase a new heavy duty amazon basic cable and its the best ive ever had. I do not have an amplifier on it and it instantly picked up more channels than the esky dinosaur did! Crystal clear too. Im in north Al about 53 miles from Birmingham where most signals come from. To say im pleased is an understatement lol. It was sooo easy to put together. I clamped it to a 10 ft metal conduit pole i bought at hardware store for less than $5, then stood pole up, strip tied to fence post. Theres lots of trees blocking but clear stream just picked signals right out of the sky like magic. If you want easy install, great signal , clear stream v2 is the one. There are a few channels out of my reach id love to have so ill be buying the amplifier soon. As of now i have 35 crystal clear. But metv has that high vhf that needs an amplifier (i read that in sev reviews with same prob) Im VERY happy with clear stream v2!!!If you look at the instructions and figure out what bolts go where it's not really bad took 5 minutes to install on roof weekend of 4th of July of course it's raining out but I went up on roof anyway have all my channels at present time before with a wind guard my channels were breaking up I kind of wish I would have bought the V4 rather than the V2 but since it's a small antenna so far so good it's only been up for 5 minutes it looks smaller and looks nicer up thereWe Cut The Cord!!! We needed an Antenna to pull in the local stations since we cut the cord. We are now using Free Local TV and a $25 per month Streaming Service. We are saving close to $100 per month. We did a bunch of research and this was one of the Antennas that came highly recommended. It was very easy to assemble and feels well built. We could not get Good reception having it inside of the house and it is quite large to be sitting in your living room. We opted to install it outside and it works great for us. Of course it will depend on your area and line of site. The mounting hardware was also included. I like that it also has the Antennas on top for more signal strength. It's Not the best but for the price it is definitely a good buy. Just make sure that it will work in your particular area. When I dropped my satellite service I initially went with the indoor flat style antennas but their range is limited and depending on how many walls the signal must travel through to get to your antenna, you can end up getting a different number of channels on each TV in the house. Not to mention they are kind of an eyesore. When I saw this, I realized I could mount it in the exact same location that I had the satellite dish and piggyback of the coax wiring that is already in place. If you are going to do this, make sure to inspect the coaxial cable to make sure they are not frayed because I had one wire that was and had trouble getting some channels on the TV attached to that wire. As a temporary fix, I covered the frayed area with electrical tape, that seems to have worked for now & I can run new cable later.Switching to this antenna has given me additional channels that I did not have with the indoor antennas, none of them are any good but they are there.L antenne reçu était défectueuse, le signal ne passait pas. Je l ai retourné et il m a couté 20$ de frais . Je ne ne sais pas si je rachèterai chez Amazon.Works as promised. Received 6 channels over air on Roku TV and 3 channels were HD. Quite happy with this products sensitivity indoors. Had the Pictek amplified ant. before that picked up zero channels. I would recommend this product.Super antenne ! Installé dans le grenier, je capte 30 postes . 20/30 en Hd, mais les 10 autres sont quand-même très clair.Installation: sud-est (St-eustache)It is not good product, looks good, but quality is not.I was only able to get one channel so I returned it.
